On 24th May, the 20+ MW wind turbine main shaft bearing developed by Luoxi Group for the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer passed the acceptance test.
The products will be sent to the user site for offshore installation in the near future.
The bearing is mainly for a project offshore wind turbine development of a new structure of long life and high reliability tapered roller bearings. The bearing adopts advanced technologies such as tri-convex structural design and integral non-expandable cage.
During the processing of the product, in view of the large outer diameter of the bearing, relatively thin wall thickness, heat treatment deformation and other challenges, the project team in the product processing before the verification of a number of tests, to overcome the design of oversized single row tapered roller bearings, thin-walled and thick rings and oversized roller manufacturing challenges, in bearing heat treatment, cage coating and other breakthroughs, to ensure that the product was assembled successfully.
After the final acceptance by the user site, the overall accuracy of the bearing reaches P5 level, and part of the accuracy reaches P4 level.
