In the pursuit of sustainable development, SKF China (SKF) has always been in the forefront, taking green and low carbon as the core driving force of enterprise development, and is committed to giving full play to its own smart and clean advantages, and working hand in hand with its partners to contribute to the realisation of global carbon neutrality goals.
SKF Green OMO: GSP Recycling Programme was officially launched. Through this new brand-new direct link channel integrating green, high efficiency and low carbon, SKF hopes to truly realise ‘turning waste into treasure’, promote the effective recycling of resources, promote the green upgrading of industries, and realise mutual benefits and win-win situations. Every resource can be used in the most reasonable way, and every effort can be converged into a powerful force to promote the sustainable development of the earth.
GSP, Group Standard Pallet, is a green and recyclable logistics packaging, which is currently being used as SKF standard wooden box.
Green concepts, integrated into the design
A SKF standard packaging GSP can be divided into three parts: pallet, enclosure and cover.
As an important carrier for SKF transport, the GSP incorporates green and sustainable concepts at the very beginning of its design. Environmentally friendly wooden boards and a small amount of iron sheets are used as materials, and the empty box can be folded when transported to maximise space saving. What’s more, GSP is strong and durable, supporting at least 12 cycles of use. For every recycling, one tonne of carbon emissions can be avoided for every 200 standard GSPs (only counting the carbon emissions during the processing and transport of wooden boards), which is not only a precious resource, but also a respect for the environment.
