Recently, Volkswagen AG Brazil S.A. (hereinafter referred to as Volkswagen Brazil) held a global supplier conference “The One 2024” in Sao Paulo, Brazil. At the conference, NSK Steering China was awarded the Volkswagen Brazil 2024 “Excellent Partner” award among more than 100 suppliers worldwide, and Mr. Hidenobu Hamaguchi, Chief Consultant of NSK Steering China, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

Founded in March 1953, Volkswagen Brazil has a history of 71 years and has four plants (three vehicle plants and one engine plant) in Brazil, mainly producing models such as Voyage, Fox, Polo, Polo Sedan and T-Cross. The Anchieta plant in the state of São Paulo serves as Volkswagen Brazil’s headquarters and R&D department, and was the first Volkswagen Group Volkswagen manufacturing plant established outside Germany.

Brazil is one of the world’s important automobile markets and one of the important global strategic markets for the Volkswagen Group. Volkswagen Brazil’s sales account for about 16% of the Brazilian auto market, ranking second.
NSK Steering China and Volkswagen Brazil have a history of cooperation for many years and have established a deep foundation of cooperation. Last year, NSK Steering China won the new project of Volkswagen Brazil for the period of 2024-2030, and has successfully realised the mass production at the beginning of this year, and has been highly evaluated by the customer in terms of project development progress, customer cooperation and product quality. The award of “Excellent Partner” is a high recognition of NSK Steering China’s excellent performance in development, supply and quality. In the future, NSK Steering China will further strengthen the in-depth cooperation with Volkswagen Brazil and jointly respond to the challenging environment of the automotive industry.
