(hereinafter referred to as “Luoyang Shaft Research”) independently researched and developed the largest size of the domestic TRB wind turbine spindle bearings successfully passed the acceptance, the bearing outer diameter size of 3900mm, height of 500mm, a new record of the largest size of the domestic TRB wind turbine spindle bearings, marking Luoyang Shaft Research in the wind turbine spindle bearings in the spectrum of the additional heavy equipment.
The company has built a simulation model of the whole transmission chain, carried out simulation calculations, optimised the matching of bearing contact angle, rolling body size and cage structure, and repeatedly adjusted and iterated the shape structure and size of bearings according to the analysis results, so as to ensure the safety margins, reduce the weight of spindle bearings, and realise the design of cost reductions.
At the same time, Luoyang Shaft Research has mastered key technologies such as high-power wind turbine spindle bearing through-pin cage machining, high-precision oversized rolling element logarithmic curve fitting manufacturing and oversized TRB spindle bearing cage friction reduction manufacturing, ensuring that wind turbine spindle bearings meet the requirements of long life and high reliability, and have passed the acceptance inspection successfully.
At present, Luoyang Shaft Research has realised the batch delivery of 5-10MW wind turbine spindle bearings, and successfully developed the first 18MW offshore wind turbine spindle bearings in China and installed them for application. Through the capacity building, Luoyang Shaft Research has an annual production capacity of 3,000 sets of wind turbine spindle bearings. In the next step, Luoyang Shaft Research will continue to promote the research and development and industrialisation of wind turbine main shaft bearings and gearbox bearings to help achieve the goal of “Double Carbon”.
