SKF and CSR deepen co-operation and jointly draw new blueprint for high-quality development

The signing of this extension agreement is not only another milestone in the course of co-operation between the two parties, but also a strong proof of the deepening co-operation between Chinese and Swiss enterprises and their common development.

On 27th February, SKF China (SKF) and CRRC Beijing Nankou Machinery Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for the extension of the operation period of Beijing Nankou SKF Railway Bearing Co.

Swedish Ambassador to China Ou Sicheng, SKF Group President and CEO Rickard Gustafson, and Ma Yushuang, General Manager of CSR Group, were invited to attend the signing ceremony, and Qiao Kai, Commercial Counsellor of the Swedish Embassy in Beijing, Wang Feng, Vice President of CSR, and Liu Ke’an, Vice President of CSR, witnessed the signing of the agreement together.

Wang Hui, President of SKF China and Northeast Asia, and Tao Lu, Chairman of CSR Beijing Nankou, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

The Swedish Ambassador to China, Mr Ou Sicheng, fully affirmed the positive role of the cooperation between the two sides in promoting the cooperation between China and Sweden to continue to go deeper and deeper. He said that the continuous cooperation between SKF and CSR is a broad and mutually beneficial cooperation, which is also a concrete example of the strong economic and trade relations between China and Sweden. SKF Nankou has become a model of win-win cooperation between Chinese and foreign joint ventures, and we believe that the two sides will achieve further success in the future.

Rickard Gustafson, President and CEO of SKF Group, expressed his gratitude to CSR for its support over the years. He said that SKF and CSR have been working together for 28 years and witnessed and participated in the rapid development of China’s railway. The renewal of the contract will open a new chapter for both parties to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and seek green development. SKF is looking forward to giving full play to their respective strengths with CSR, helping CSR’s global development through optimising the supply chain service system, and also looking forward to comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in the fields of rail transportation, clean energy and sustainable development, jointly developing green and intelligent solutions and creating a sustainable ecosystem.

Ma Yunshuang, General Manager of CSR Group, expressed his warm welcome to Ambassador Ou Sicheng, President Rickard Gustafson and Counsellor Qiao Kai for their visit to CSR and sincerely invited Ambassador Ou Sicheng to visit the production sites of CSR’s affiliated enterprises. He expressed his sincere thanks to SKF Nankou team for their hard work and said that SKF Nankou is the fruit of friendly cooperation between SKF and CSR. The joint venture company integrates the advantages of both sides, ploughs into technology and service innovation, and develops a series of bearing products, which have made significant contributions to the development of China’s railway equipment industry. CSR is willing to work with SKF to continue to deepen the cooperation in the field of rail transport equipment and clean energy equipment, and make greater contributions to the economic and trade cooperation between China and Switzerland and the development of global rail transport.

Under the joint witness of all the guests, Mr Wang Hui, President of SKF China and Northeast Asia, and Mr Tao Lu, Chairman of CRRC Beijing Nankou Machinery Co., Ltd. renewed the agreement on the extension of the joint venture period of Beijing Nankou SKF Railway Bearing Co.

The signing of this extension agreement is not only another milestone in the course of cooperation between the two sides, but also a powerful proof of deepening cooperation and seeking common development between Chinese and Swiss enterprises. The two sides will continue to work together to promote the development and growth of SKF Nankou, and make new and greater contributions to the prosperous development of China’s rail transit business, economic and trade cooperation between China and Switzerland, and the development of global rail transit business.

Before the signing ceremony, Rickard Gustafson, President and CEO of SKF Group, and Ma Yushuang, General Manager of China CNR Group, had a discussion, and the two sides were introduced to the development of business operations and business development layout, reviewing the history of cooperation over the past two decades and a good foundation for cooperation, around the equipment manufacturing industry’s digital, intelligent, green development, carried out a detailed discussion and exchange, looking forward to promoting a wider range of areas, and to promote the development and development of the rail transport industry. The two sides discussed and exchanged ideas, and looked forward to promoting practical cooperation in a wider range of fields, at a deeper level and with greater efficiency, so as to achieve a higher level of common development and mutual benefit.
