On June 5, the launching ceremony of the “Haili Cup” the second national machinery industry product quality innovation competition, co-hosted by the China Machinery Industry Federation and the Anhui Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, was held at the Amannsen Reception Center of Anhui Yingliu Group.
The theme of the competition is “New Journey, High Quality, Create the Future”, and the competition will be an important activity of the National Quality Month 2023 and the World Manufacturing Conference 2023, which will be important for the sustainable development of China’s machinery industry and improve its international competitiveness. It will be of great significance to the sustainable development of the Chinese machinery industry and the improvement of its international competitiveness.

The launching ceremony was hosted by Li Yanxia, Deputy Chief Engineer of the China Machinery Industry Federation.
At the launch ceremony, Pan Dongshu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Mayor of Lu’an, delivered a speech. In his speech, he introduced the long history of Lu’an and the characteristics of the city, highlighting the work done and the achievements made by Lu’an in earnestly implementing the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, vigorously promoting the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, vigorously implementing the strategy of strengthening the quality of the city, and striving to enhance the quality of industrial products.
In his speech, Executive Vice President Luo Junjie interpreted the importance of the competition to the sustainable development of China’s machinery industry and the improvement of its international competitiveness from the perspective of implementing macro policies and promoting the development of the machinery industry. In his speech, he put forward three points: First, we should adhere to the leadership of the Party and promote the implementation of the strategy of strengthening the quality of the country in an integrated manner. Adhere to the Party’s overall leadership of quality work, the establishment of “party leadership, government-led, corporate responsibility, social participation” of the construction of a strong quality coordination mechanism to ensure that the task is effective. To firmly turn the way, adjust the structure, change the dynamic energy, improve quality, create brand will and determination. To firmly establish quality awareness, brand awareness, competition awareness, adhere to the value of quality first orientation, adhere to quality development, quality to win, and take the road of quality and efficiency development does not waver. Second, we should vigorously stimulate the vitality of quality innovation and establish an efficient and collaborative quality innovation system. We should strongly support enterprises to carry out “quality month” activities, learn and innovate advanced quality methods and production methods, and open up channels for the transformation and application of quality innovation results. We should make full use of national policies and the service platform of the industry’s quality innovation competition to create an industry atmosphere that emphasises quality, brand and integrity, ultimately forming a complete form of creation and innovation, quality and standards, brand and governance. Third, we should focus on the industry’s head enterprises and key products, and accelerate the construction of a modern machinery industry system. To further cultivate and grow a number of chain master enterprises with the ability to organize and govern the supply chain of the industrial chain, consolidate and enhance a number of technically professional and focused, deep market special new enterprises, prosperous development of a number of innovative and active, good growth, high potential of scientific and technological innovation enterprises; to benchmark with international advanced standards, vigorously strengthen the overall quality management, promote the application of advanced quality management methods and efficient green production methods. To build a modern industry chain supply chain that is independently controllable, safe and efficient, and speed up the construction of a new development pattern in which dual cycles promote each other.
In his speech, Liu Bochao, Deputy Director General of the Department of Science and Technology of MIIT, introduced the breakthroughs made by MIIT in promoting the construction of a strong manufacturing country and a strong quality country, and at the same time put forward three thoughts on MIIT’s in-depth implementation of the action to increase variety, improve quality and create brand in the manufacturing industry, promote quality change and innovation, and push China’s manufacturing industry onto a new road of higher quality and more sustainable industrialization.
The organizer of the competition, Mr. Cha Hanbin, second inspector of Anhui Economic and Information Department, introduced five aspects of Anhui Province’s efforts in thoroughly implementing the outline of building a strong quality country, firmly establishing the distinctive orientation of quality first, taking quality supply improvement as the main direction, carrying out special actions such as quality enterprise attraction and cultivation, digital empowerment and quality improvement, supporting the construction of a strong quality province and promoting “Made in Anhui”. The work done and achievements made in promoting the transformation of “Made in Anhui” to “Created in Anhui” and the upgrading of “Anhui products” to “Anhui brands”.
Chen Xuedong, Director of the Competition’s Judging Committee, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, introduced the competition’s judging criteria by way of a video. The competition will further optimise the judging criteria on the basis of the previous one, adjusting the weighting of the scoring items accordingly according to the scale of the participating enterprises and whether the projects belong to the whole machine industry or the parts industry, etc. Meanwhile, it will continue to follow the principle of open, fair and impartial judging, objectively evaluate the projects based on the scoring criteria of the competition, and select the excellent ones that can represent the quality and innovation level of the machinery industry. The projects will be judged objectively according to the scoring criteria, so as to select outstanding projects that represent the level of quality innovation in the machinery industry.
In his speech, Yang Anguo, Chairman of Anhui Forklift Group, the title company of the competition, shared the work and good experiences of the company in terms of product innovation, technological innovation and standard innovation, promoting management innovation, co-ordinating effective improvement of quality and reasonable growth of quantity, continuously improving work quality and product quality, enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness, and cultivating core competitiveness.
Du Yingliu, Chairman of Anhui Yingliu Group, the organiser of the launch ceremony and a gold medal winner of the previous competition, delivered a speech. He introduced the enterprise’s experience and practices in quality innovation from three aspects: unswerving reliance on quality innovation to promote Yingliu’s high-quality development; quality innovation is a key element in building Yingliu’s new development pattern; and combining the characteristics of the industry, quality improvement actions have been effective.
Under the watchful eyes of the audience and in a warm atmosphere, the leaders launched the “HELLY Cup” the 2nd National Machinery Industry Product Quality Innovation Competition. The award ceremony and forum of the competition will be held during the 2023 World Manufacturing Conference in Hefei from 20-24 September.
Finally, the guests attending the launch ceremony took a group photo. Before the launch ceremony, the guests also visited Yingliu Group’s high-end casting production process and enterprise exhibition hall.
